Q. As a jewelry artist who does art show throughout the US I have a major problem keeping my jewelry tarnish free. a solution I could coat the piece with and the dip in water at time of sale to remove the solution would be most helpful

A. Hi Gary,
What works for me is to immerse the jewelry in a solution of baking soda [in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil links] and water and make contact with an aluminum plate. The degree of tarnishing would dictate the amount of baking soda [in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil links] and time the jewelry is on the aluminum plate. For mild tarnishing I start out with a few tablespoons of baking soda per liter of water, 30-60 seconds on the plate, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth. Good Luck!
