Powder metal - bleeding out salts afer Zn-Fe plating

2006

We are plating powder metal part in an alkaline zinc-iron electrolyte, after a few days surface close pores start out bleeding alkaline salts (electrolyte.

Dos anyone have experience with this kind of problem?
Are there any impregnation sealants that are less sensitive to this problem?

Hi Michael,

there are some sealants on the market, therefor it will be necessary to contact your local distributor, as far as I know Enthone in Langenfeld and HSO has some sealers in their program.
