DM Water Patch Test

I have found that the treated water of DM plant had some muddy colour type dust . Visually this is not seen but under patch test a fine dusting observed. The inlet water is OK but after passing through DM plant such observation is been observed. What this may be ?

For recharging we use HCl & NaOH.

Patch Test is passing 100 ML. water through a filter paper of 1"dia.

Tap water take 1 minute to pass through it but DM water after few minute get clogh.

Please check under a microscope to see if the "dust" is biological in origin, or small pieces of IX resin.

Dear Kiran,

First you please check,it may be fines of resin. next you please check the acid / caustic solution, it should be clear, no residue should be there in it. then check prefilter / sand filters.

Dear kiran I use in industry testing dm water silver nitrate 30 or 40 % use. In the 10 ml test tube take 5 ml dm water and 2 drops silver nitrate this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] put in a test tube if it poor dm water then we get no changing in dm water and you try these method with simple water then you will get milky color.
