How can we remove all the polishing compounds on the mirror polished s.s. surface

2006

We are a producer of S.S. vessels for Pharma application . How can be sure to remove the layer of compound left by using a paste to reach the mirror polish surface ?
The electropolishing is not permitted .
Does exist any chemical product and can anyone suggest a procedure ?

A suitable solvent which has excellent solubility for the waxes in the polish could be a good route. Depending on the polish used an appropriate solvent could be found. If the wax is lifted off then the polish should be removed. Certain non-VOC, low hazard solvents could be used in a spray system to give additional agitation.
