G.I. pipe lines vs CPVC pipe line

I want to use G.I pipe line for my new house but my plumber is adamant to use the CPVC pipe line. He made me so confused that I can't decide for myself. can somebody give me best advise why I should not use G.I pipe line.

Hi, Manish. CPVC is widely used and is not believed to be harmful. Galvanized pipe is not considered satisfactory for drinking water these days -- mostly because galvanized pipes eventually rust through with pinhole leaks, and clog from rust and calcium deposits. Plus, galvanized pipe is often used in conjunction with copper pipe, which can cause galvanic hydrolysis problems. If you tell us what your plumber actually said, we may be able to comment on it. Good luck.

What is the best option between GI water pipes and the CVPC drinking water pipes to use in a new RCC and bricks constructed house?

I want to know which is a better option between GI pipe and CPVC pipeline. I am re-doing my bathrooms. The old GI pipeline is 10 years old and has leakage problem.
