Hydrogen Peroxide Effects on Anodized Aluminum
Would like to know the effects of a 1% solution of Hydrogen Peroxide and RODI water (real clean filtered water) on anodized aluminum parts. This for a water purity system using a small amount of hydrogen peroxide in solution as a constant biocide to kill organisms. The chemical compatibility of such a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide and anodized aluminum is not readily found in any standard chemical compatibility tables or charts. I have a number of air cylinders that may be exposed either by mist or droplet form to this solution and the main material used in these cylinders is anodized aluminum. Hydrogen peroxide in concentrated from is usually shipped in aluminum containers that have been passivated first and then rinsed with deionized water. Does anyone have any experience in with this chemical and aluminum? Thank you!

Peroxide would not have any effect on Anodized and sealed Aluminum as you described in your application.
