Gold Color in a PVD Process turns red
2006
We are job coaters and we use PVD Equipment. The process is Titanium coating, then TiN and then Gold over TiN. Of late, we face a peculiar problem: The Gold color turns slightly reddish when we touch the Plated surface with bare finger. When we wipe the plated surface with a clean cloth and then attempt to touch again with bare finger, there is no Reddish change of color.
Can anyone help to identify the problem?
Thank you & Best Regards,
