Electroless nickel plating 7075 Al and 6061 Al
Would you process 7075 Al the same as 6061 Al for electroless nickel?

Yes, I would. Double zincate and an alkaline EN strike (as pointed out by our friend J. Watts).

I just want to add: Desmutting the Aluminum Surface to a completely clean surface, prior to the Zincating, is so important. I recommend a Mixed Acid blend with fluoride.
There are Proprietary formulas on the market.
