Corrosion Resistance of Aluminized Sheets

Can aluminized sheets be corrugated and used as roofing material? Does the aluminum coating protect the base metal like zinc does especially on the sheared edges? Would aluminized sheets be more corrosion resistant than zinc coated sheets? Thank you.

There is a lot more field experience with galvanized roofing than aluminized, proving it to a good roofing material, but from a 10-minute look at comparative studies in other fields, it sounds to me like aluminized should be as good or better.
