Hi Members,
I am looking for latest development in Functional coating with Trivalent chromium.

I believe that, at this point, trivalent chromium electroplating is still restricted to decorative use on top of nickel and cannot be used for functional hard chrome plating.

There are a few major supply houses (Macdermid, Atotech and others) based close to you who should be able to help you with the latest developments in this field. I'm sure if you got in touch with them they'd be more than willing to help.
