A60 Galvanized versus electro-galvanized steel

2006

Can someone advise as to the pros and cons of A60 galvanized steel as compared to Electro-galvanized steel when it comes down to paintability?

The end user is painting their parts and I see no difference between the two steels in this regard - am I right?

Looking for a quick response if possible - thanks in advance.

A60 is designed to be paintable; electrogalvanized finishes with the right chromate are plateable too. A60 is about .001" thick whereas we don't know the thickness of the electrogalvanized except to say it's almost surely thinner.
