Hydrochloric Acid Spectrophotometric Analysis
-----
Does anyone know how to analysis HCl (Hydrochloric Acid) with spectrophotometer in a solution of Sulfuric acid and Copper sulphate, and Hydrochloric acid?

A. Get yourself a copy of
<== 'Standard Methods ...'. A handbook/catalog from Hach would probably also help. Standard Methods will detail techniques for analyzing what you're looking for. The Hach catalog will include kits with specific colorimeters for looking for these constituents.

A. Are you talking about an acid copper plating bath?
If so, yes, there are spectrophotometric methods for chloride, but they're not the best methods to use. I use a gravimetric technique; silver chloride is precipitated, filtered out, dried and weighed, and chloride calculated from this value.
There is also a titration method (this is the one described in the
"Metal Finishing Guidebook and Directory") where one titrates with a standard mercuric nitrate solution to the disappearance of AgCl turbidity.
