Suitability of using nickel metallizing on MS for application with strong halide attack

-----

Dear sir, we are currently using 2.7 mm thick Nickel 200 linings on 12mm thickk MS plates for one of our applications with strong halide attack in the process. we would like to have an opinion on suitability of 250 to 500 micron Ni200 metallizing on MS plates. can you please suggest whether this would be a practical idea?

You'll have from five to ten times a thinner shield and, depending on the metallization process, probably also a porous one. Also, nickel is attacked by strong halides. Does not sound like a very good idea to me.
