Nickel Plating Salt Spray Time to Failure
Dear Sir,
Good day! I just want to ask question regarding nickel plating test. I have a base metal which is steel and plated by nickel at 0.5 microns. Now can you please advise me based on your experience how many hours it will fail or last while conducting salt spray test? or how many % of salt do I need to use?
Hoping to your favorable response soon and thank you so much.

0.5 microns of nickel will not last even one hour in a salt spray chamber; why bother to plate in the first place?
Maybe it will last 6 hours nearby a SS Chamber :-)
