Chrome reactivator

We are a small plating shop in so. CA and our chrome line is been extremely busy, and a problem came out with the bright nickel coming out with pitting, burned edges, and streaks and is creating a nightmare to rework everything again, the problem that I have is not the nickel, the chemist already took care of all the problems but a have a lot of nickel plated parts that are ready to be chrome plated and the nickel already got passive, I heard that theres is an "activator" but I do not have any knowledge of the chemical composition, that is been used even for the restoration of old chrome plated parts without stripping the nickel .
I will appreciate any feedback S.G.

Speak to your line supplier, I don't understand why you don't have a nickel activator in your operation, it's a pretty essential part of any chrome shop operation.

Atotech has a chemical for a Nickel Activator it is called CA Activator. This works very well for us.
