Stripping silicon oxide and titanium oxide coatings from aluminum
Question 1,
Any way to remove 4 plated layer in sequence of SiO2, TiO2, SiO2, TiO2 on an aluminum material 6061 without damaging the surface. Please advice.
Question 2,
Any way to remove 5 plated layer in sequence of SiO2, TiAlO, SiO2, TiAlO, SiO2 on an aluminum material 6061 without damaging the surface. Please advice.

Try concentrated hydrofluoric acid.
It should dissolve the oxides and leave the aluminum covered with a thin white film of AlF3.
