Which type of vacuum pump for metallizing

2006

Hi,
We are looking to setup a vacuum metallizing plant in India, for metallizing plastic parts. We got quotations from various manufacturers. Given below are the two types of quotations:

A) A plant with a PISTON TYPE VACUUM PUMP.
B) A plant with VEIN TYPE VACUUM PUMP.

Plant A is expensive than plant B by about 18%

Supplier A claims that the piston type pump has a better life and is more efficient than B. However plant B are the conventional plants running, and no problem is faced with them. I don't know which one to go for. Is it worth spending on plant A, or plant B would be appropriate for my need.

Please Help

Go with A but add a blower.

What is the reason behind you suggesting Plant A sir. I enquired with a few people running the plants on Plant B, and they had no complaints. How are they really different from each other.
