Powder coating fiberglass body of 1934 Roadster-Frazer Nash

My name is Debbie Owens and my boyfriend has recently opened a powder coating business in Bullard, Texas and has little to no experience in the powder coating process. He would like to know the process of powder coating the fiberglass body of his Roadster. From start to finish.

Thank you!

Hello Debbie. Opening a business in a field where you have no experience is a difficult thing, and there is obviously no way that anyone could sum up years of learning and experience into a few paragraphs. Although books and magazines are not a substitute for hands-on training, nonetheless, the first thing your boyfriend should do is to get and read a few powder coating selections from our "must-have booklist" and subscribe to a couple of the recommended trade journals. And please urge him to join the educational associations and trade groups serving the powder coating industry.

Here's to entrepreneurs -- willing to enter a business while lacking the skills and knowledge to secure a journeyman's job in that field. But without such daring-do, where would we all be?

Best of luck to him!
