430SS become dull after chemical polish

2006

We are trying to use chemical polishing to reduce our burr problem as this is the only solution. The ratio of chemical polisher and DI water is about 1:21. We maintain the temperature in 85~95C. The result is satisfied but there's is a side effect. The condition of the part is unstable. Sometime, the part will become dull even using the same method. Previously, we suspect is the DI water. It is not enough after evaporation. But the problem still remain after we take the action with it. Anyone have the idea or solution regarding to this problem? Urgent.
Thank you.

We can suggest electropolishing of 430SS and other 400 alloy types stainless steel in environmentally safe saline-based solution. The process is already installed in Europe and Middle East. Contact us if interested.
