WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRE-GALVANIZED AND PRE-ZINC COATED?
2006
I am purchaser at Manchu Spring, which is a Spring and Stamping metal part manufacturer in Malaysia.
Actually I need some information about the differences between pre-galvanized and pre-zinc coated.
Currently, my customer is looking for the pre-galvanized wire and my supplier quote for me the price is base on pre-zinc coated. According to them, pre-galvanized is same as pre-zinc coated.
Your kind assistance is highly appreciated
I am look forward to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Shue

Galvanized is a zinc coating, but not all zinc coatings are galvanized.
Galvanized usually means coated steel produced by hot dipped galvanizing (HDG) in which steel is dipped into molten zinc.
Other forms of zinc coating include electroplating, mechanical plating and diffusion coating (sherardizing).
