Sponge plating
Hello, I have been electro-plating for a company for the past two and a half years, mainly rack plating and barrel plating small objects. Recently I have had an offer to plate larger items, for custom cars and bikes. I was wondering what materials I need to get this done. sponge, chemicals, tanks? I;m not sure at all how this is done. Thank you for your time. tim

Hi Timmy,
Working in a plating shop you probably have some idea what you would need to plate larger items. It would be such a large expense on your part, with so few customers. You would need a facility, permits, large cash outlay for equipment and chemicals. If all you want to do is car or motorcycle emblems there are a ton of companies that supply brush plating kits with respective plating solutions. Some are supporting advertisers on this website.
