Surface finish and cracking of anodized 7075

I am considering anodizing wrought 7075 aluminum and I have the following questions.
(a) is there a particular surface finish requirement for anodizing 7075?
(b) I heard someone say something about subsurface cracks between 7075 and the anodized layer -is this true? Also, is there any technical information out there help me understand the "7075-anodized layer" interfacial integrity. Other anodized layer (e.g. 2000 series versus its anodized layer) studies will certainly be of help.
