Need to plate Tin to specification ASTM A599M, is it Electroplating?

A Client needs to Tin plate small parts in barrel and requires Tin electroplating to ASTM A599 spec, we found that such spec is for Tin Mill Products, Electrolytic Tin-Coated, Cold-Rolled Sheet.

Is this applicable to us? We understand that this is a Tin electroplating done in metal sheets, in a reel-to-reel process. Are we correct with this understanding?

We perform tin plating according to ASTM B545, but never heard of this spec. Any information or recommendation regarding this process will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

From the following description found on the web, this specification covers cold-rolled steel sheet in coils or in cut lengths, tin-coated by electrodeposition. The product is commonly known as electrolytic tin-coated sheet, and is for applications that need good solderability, good surface appearance, and a degree of corrosion resistance. The spec covers a material, albeit tin plated, rather than a plating process - you can't plate to a specification for a material!

Thank you for your answer. This is what we thought, but wanted to double check.

Thanks again.
