I need to dull the burnished areas of an aluminum trailer

I cleaned graphics off of an aluminum tanker trailer. The spots where I scrubbed are now "polished". I do not want to buff out an entire trailer obviously. I just need to dull down the clean spots.

You could always just use a little sandpaper, but that wouldn't ensure that the resulting finish would match the rest of the tanker, and it would probably remove any corrosion protection you have on the aluminum.

Have you tried using the search engine on this sight to search the archived letters? You may find that your situation has already been described and a solution given...

Good luck!
