Colouring of Gold or Brass

Dear Finishers

I would like to colour the gold with pink, green, white, black and yellow (& other possible colours). I would like to try the same colours on brass too.

If you could give some formulations and processing conditions for the above colourings, I would be greatly obliged. The process can be either a dip process or electrolytic, but at room temperature.

I thank you in advance for the help.

Different colors for brass(luster series):
copper acetate [affil links]......25 gm
citric acid this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ........ 30 gm
sodium thiosulphate this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ..280 gm
water...............1 lit
Cold immersion(25-30 C)

Sequence(on brass):golden yellow-copper color-violet-dark blue-light blue-chrome color-nickel color-reddish gray.

This colors can be lacquered. According to literature this colors can be obtained on gold, platinum, silver,nickel and iron(only blue). Instead of copper acetate you can use lead acetate and instead citric acid potassium tartrate. Pranam!
