Veralising nickel plating process

I have faced to new cold electrolytic nickel plating named "veralising". This method is used for building up over machined surfaces. I want to have more information about this method.

"The Veralisieren is a technical, electro-chemical coating with nickel and an extremely good anchorage in the basic material...Layers 0.01 to 5 mm" [Google translation]

My guess is sulfamate nickel with an adhesion bake.
