Need Advice for Chrome to Black Alteration Please
I recently purchased a truck that has nerf bars or the "tube step side". The bars are shiny chrome, I assume chrome plated or something. I want to spray the chrome with some type of black durable paint. I don't know what's best to go over chrome or what will adhere to it. I like the bars there just the wrong color. Can someone recommend a paint that will last on the exterior of a truck please.

Well.... I think most here will agree with me when I say that you will have difficulty (if not impossible) getting paint to adhere to chrome. The best I can suggest is to have the job quoted to remove the chrome and apply black powder coat and compare that to the cost of new parts already in black.
