Possible finishes for a sculpture, a stylized tree
2005
Hello
I'm an artist living in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
I have a piece that I would like to have plated or finished. The piece is made of carbon steel. it is a stylized tree. it is approx. 109 x 100 x 90 inches.
I would love to have any advice about what sort of coating are available. is there a coating that will give it a bronze color thanks,

It can be bronze plated, brass plated, copper plated, etc. However that's a large piece, so you'll have to search a bit to find a shop which can handle it.

Try any immersion copper plating solution (acidified copper sulphate ⇦this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] solution is simplest)+some good clearcoat (Everbrite [a finishing.com supporting advertiser] or Incralac ⇦this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ). Good luck!

You may wish to consider a decorative sprayed metal finish.
