Plating to Reduce Adhesion of Weld Spatter?

I am an engineer at a manufacturing company designing a tool that will be used in close proximity to welding operations and will likely be exposed to weld spatter. A portion of the tool is an investment cast part made from alloy steel. Are there plating processes (possibly copper plating) that could be applied to the alloy steel component to minimize the chance of weld spatter adhering to the component?

No plating will stop weld splatter from sticking all of the time. Chrome plating would probably be the best.
An anti seize will work well in many cases.
My favorite, but a bit ugly, is to use thermal spray masking tape. There are several manufacturers of the tape and some are superior to others.(some really bad). You can get it in many widths and even dots or squares on special order. When it wears or gets ugly, take it off and replace it. It is extremely effective, simple and low cost.
