Hard Chrome Ingredient

2005

Sir,

What are the exact ingredient or chemical for Hard Chrome

Thanks.

Which one of the many formulas would you like to talk about?
Chrome plating is as much a black art (witchcraft) as it is science. Your plater needs a school or work at a good plating shop for a while before jumping into this.

Dear Ben,
You go for proprietary chemicals if you are new in this line.
Further you want to know ,
1) Chromic acid
2) Sulphate
3) Temperature
4) Anode area.
5) Trivalent chrome.
6) Iron impurities.
7) Current density.
8) Jigs, as per nature of job.
Lot other factors are required for doing hard chrome.

You have not made things clear. For what do you want to mix chromic acid? If it's for electroplating then calculate quantity required per litre and easily you can dissolve it in distilled water and add it to tank.
