I'm in the power wash business power wash auto's use to rent a portable tank filled with anion and cation resin. the company that I used went out of business. do you know what quantities of each resin must be mixed to get spot free or remove the hardness. I have a tank but don't know where to get the resin or how to mix.

Mr. Knapp, there are a lot of good suppliers who can help; check out [industrial] water treatment in the yellow pages. A good supplier will test the water and then provide a recommendation (if they don't test first, run away fast).

The DI system does not have an unlimited life time. It must be periodically regenerated and you do not want to do that.
Second, the resin is very expensive.
You have alternative companies in your area. Check with them all for prices of their rentals. Also try to find out who bought the inventory of the company that went out of business. If the company that you rented from was a national, then corporate HQ should help you find an alternative company.
