Safety question regarding electrostatic spraying
I have been a spray painter for a number of years, and in the last couple, we have been using electrostatic spray guns to apply solvent based paints on plastic for a full 8 hour shift. I have already experienced loads of shocks from grounding and KV's too high, even a couple of fires, but I was wondering if there were any long term effects to my health by using these guns and being constantly bombarded with high voltage/low amperes all day long? I can't seem to find anything related to the subject. Thanks for letting me post, and what a very informative site!

I saw a show where a guy was bombarded with electricity and it turned him into a genius! Get your equipment grounded properly before you kill yourself, or even worse, OSHA comes in and gives the company a fine! :-)
