Lacquering dyed onyx
We dye onyx to get different colors. We recently dyed a red onyx that is bleeding even after a few washes and using a lacquer to seal it. do you have nay suggestions on what lacquer or process will stop the stone form bleeding the dye?
thanks,

Use a clear epoxy, get one of the high grade ones and it will keep the dye inside, if you are mounting the stone before selling it I would suggest mounting it first before applying the epoxy. It will keep the stone in place and keep the stone from dyeing someone's hand.
