All Electroless Nickel Coating begin to melt at 880 °C.

Unless there is a very large amount of H2S present, EN should be suitable for ball valves in oil & gas applications to at least 200 °C. NACE Publication 6A287 gives an overview of corrosion limitations in such environments.
