Alochrome 1200 and the New RoHS directive
Is the use of the chromate to achieve the 1200 finish in breach of the directive and what would be the difference if all items calling for 1200 were changed to 1000 in product performance?

As Alodine 1000 and 1200 coatings both contain hexavalent chromium, I suspect that their Alochrome counterparts do also. Hence, non-RoHS. Ask your Henkel or Turco representative for advice.
