Problem with getting bright yellowish finish on brass

2005

Hi there,

we are finding problems in getting bright yellowish finish on our brass products.

we follow the procedure as follows :

1. we dip the parts in to diluted nitric acid
2. give 2 wash in softened water
3. Dip into chromic acid
4. give 2 wash in softened water

the result is redish orange colour but we want bright yellowish color on our items.

what to do, please help.

Dear Rajiv
trail following option
1.mixed 0.5 kg of surya khar per 100 litrs of nitric acid
2.instead of chromic acid use conc. HCl after nitric acid.
test that & tell me a result
