Cleaning of brass hollow tube

I am doing satin nickel plating on hollow brass tubes. before plating buffing dust is present on piece, that's why I am nitric acid dipping. If concentration of acid is high white patches form on piece & if lower concentration acid is used it can't remove all buffing dust. So please tell me exact mixture of acid with water or any composition add in acid.

No, no, no. Where on earth did you hear of using nitric acid as a buffing compound remover? Buffing compound is removed with alkaline cleaners, preferably assisted by ultrasonics, not with acid.

Dear Sir,

You want to dissolve the tube or remove the buffing compounds.

Nitric acid will do etching in the brass.

You requirelylitic cleaning,ultrasonic cleaning,etc.

If the job is small and you resources scanty use kerosene
oil and then clean piece with saw dust.

This will also work as de-greaser.

YOU BASICALLY REQUIRE A DEGREASER.
