Clear zinc plate after welding

I have several mild steel parts that have been welded. I want to have them clear zinc plated. Will the heat marks created by welding be covered by clear zinc plating? Or do they need to be cleaned up?

If either you are the plater completely removes the heat scale from the weld and he properly prepares the surface, then the weld should be the same color as the part. IF it is a leaded steel part be sure to let the plater know.
