Prepare Pure Nickel Sulphate Crystal

I am a Chemist from a metal recycling industry in Malaysia. I met a problem to have pure Nickel suphate crystals. The nickel Sulphate solution was obtained from Spent Ni battery, so there have some impurities(mainly Fe ions) that I have to get rid off. But now the crytal produced contained about 0.5% of Fe that should not be in the crystal. I have try to remove the Fe ions from The NISO4 like adding Nitric acid and Calcium Carbonate to convert Fe2+ to Iron hydroxide and then precipateed out. But the result was unsatified..What is the optimum temperature and pH used to precipate out Fe ions and at the same time the concentration of Ni will not be affected ?Thanks for anyone who can answer my question..
