IR LAMPS FOR CURING POWDER

2005

DEAR EVERYONE,
WE ARE INTO MANUFACTURING OF WORLD CLASS GENERATOR SETS.
THE GENSETS HAVE TO BE POWDER COATED IN THE PROCESS.
DURING THE TRANSPORTATION AND INSTALLATION THE GENSETS ARE MANHANDLED WHICH LEADS TO
SCRATCHES AT SOME POINTS THUS EXPOSING THE SURFACE.
THE SURFACE STARTS CORRODING AT THAT POINT LEADING TO EATING UP OF TOTAL MATERIAL WITHIN A YEAR.
I HAD HEARD THAT IR LAMPS ARE AVAILABLE WHICH CAN CURE THE POWDER ON - SITE.
I WANTED TO KNOW WHETHER I CAN SPRAY POWDER ON - SITE AND USE IR LAMPS (PORTABLE)
TO CURE THE POWDER.
IF SO MY 90% PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED.

THANKS IN ADVANCE,

You could also inspect the units after the installation and charge the installers(warn the installation company ahead of time)for damage and repair, otherwise give them a case of spray paint and have them put the graffitti on it after they finish hooking it up. The lack of pretreatment and heat from the lamps you are talking about will turn your gensets into -not so world class- units. Making them out of galvanized material and having them spray painted after the installation sounds like a pretty good idea to me.
