Passivation of Phosphated Component

Hi everyone
I wanted to know, what can be applied on Bearing races for Passivation after phosphating.
The liquid need to have property of loacking phosphating properties, provide rust & corrosion resistance.

It would depend upon what kind of phosphate coating you are referring to. For bearing races, you might be using manganese phosphate . . . in which case, why not oil?

I also agree with Ted Money. Manganese phosphate with oil will be a suitable choice. The oil finish will also help in improving the corrosion resistance.

Hello Mr.Ted
We are using Zinc phosphate for bearing races.
However Oil is presently being used for passivation, which gives a very sticky feeling.
We have also tried SOL-U-Dry product of Heatbath , USA, it's water based emulsion
Problem faced is while importing the same.
Can sombody suggest some equivalent, available in India.
Best regards,

Dear Mr.Aman Bhargava,
After passivating the components you may apply an oil used for export packings which will give you about 20 to 30 microns coat and doesn't have any stickyness. You may try with servo.
Thanking you
