Color consistency comparison for stove enameled and powder coating finish
Is out there anybody who possibly can advise me wheter there is a difference in color consistancy between a stove enamled and powder coat finishing application? If there is, which one is the better one and why? Thanks

Dear Werner,
It is not a question of colour matching but for your particular trade requirements, powder coating seems to be the choice for the majority of architectural product manufacturers. A polyester coated substrate, with the correct choice of pre-treatment, will result in a finish that will outlast any solvent-based system from the point of weathering and damage control. Depending upon the manufacturer, colour consistency may be slightly more sophisticated for powders, because once the test laboratory approves the product and it is packed for sale, very little can be done to alter the material. A solvent-based product, if defective can be re-tinted, made glossier or matt, remove defects plus a whole host of other rectification requirements.
