Silkscreen on Anodize

I would like to know what people think about silkscreening (for example a putting a part number) on an anodized surface. Is there a spec that would address this?

It will work fine if specified as part of the anodizing process. Silk screening that is integral to the anodizing won't come off even with sandpaper without a lot of effort. Silk screening on top of an anodized part probably won't be worth much.
