Waste Disposal Regulations for ANODISING

Where can I find details about legislation related to metal finishing and the disposal of waste bi-products: ANODISING? I hope someone can help. Regards AC

Hi, Andrew. It probably varies from one local area to another, as well as from country to country. But in many areas aluminum in the effluent is unregulated (alum is used in water treatment plants to provide clarity). But aluminum anodizing usually puts copper into the effluent and this is usually a regulated metal.

Hopefully someone from England will tell you who the regulatory body is.
