Quality of HCl and NaOH to be charged

Dear Sirs,

We are facing a terrible problem with heavy consumption of HCl & NaOH, even after installation of Degasser unit. Every 2nd day or every 30 KL consumption our PH of DI Water is dropping to 4 to 5.5. In this regard after a long period now we are going to complete changing of resins all 3 beds.

After loading of fresh resins for Cation, Anion & Mixed beds What Quality & Quantity of HCl & NaOH to be charged to the Cation & Anion beds to produce (APPROX)ZERO Micro Siemens Per centimeter of CONDUCTIVITY and a PH of 6.5 to 7.5. can anyone help me in this regard please. Our Cation bed Resin volume of 1125 Lits, Anion bed is 808 Lits and that of Mixed bed is 230 Lits [90 Lits for Anion (up portion) + 140 Lits for Cation (bottom portion)].

For best results you should use a low iron grade of HCl, and a low chloride grade of filtered NaOH. Low quality sodium hydroxide may contain sediment, precipitated iron, and over 1% NaCl, whereas a good grade off caustic will have < 0.1 % NaCl.
