Zinc-Nickel Plating Specification GME 00252 and GMI 60206 Salt Spray Fog test

2005

Dear Sirs,

I have the product plated the zinc-nickel to GME 00252-C7 & saltspray test to GMI 60206-R grade 2.
Please help me to let me know about the mentioned specification.

What do you need to know about this specification. I can't tell if you actually do the plating, or you supply stamped parts to be finished elsewhere. Are your parts having trouble meeting the spec?

Hi, Nick.
GME 00252 and GMI 60206 are available from global.ihs.com. But please note that GME 00252 is superseded by GMW4700 for zinc alloy plating, and GMI 60206 is superseded by GMW3286.

Hi, Miquel.
GME / GMI 60206 seems to be "DETERMINATION OF RESISTANCE TO CORROSION OF AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS BY SALT SPRAY FOG TESTING". Might you be looking for GMW3034, "ABSENCE OF HEXAVALENT CHROME, CR VI, IN COATINGS"?
