Removing water spots on car finishes
My Dodge Ram Quad Cab pickup has numerous hard water spots on the finish, Can a solution of Muriatic acid and water remove these spots successfully?

It will remove the hard water spots, but may remove the pickup as well. Muriatic acid is way, way, way, too strong a material to use for an application like that. If no commercial product works, vinegar ⇦in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil links] and water will.

Forget the acids, get a good quality rubbing compound ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] from your local auto specialty paint shop.
