NiP Plating on Silicon Carbide Composites (Al-SiC and Si-SiC)
Any ideas and/or recommendations as to how to go about electroless plating with Nickel-Phosphorous on SiC composites, particularly Al-SiC and Si-SiC? Any generic or proprietary blend chemistries out there for surface preparation/treatment/strike for some already-developed process that would result to a successful electroless deposition of Ni-Phos?
Please advise...... I know that the process I am looking for has been done before.....

I think you'll find that zincating this material is required. You might pick a supplier for your EN and ask them to offer you a compatible zincate. Generally the suppliers will run some samples for you to help you make sure the process works before building the plating line.
