Switching a setting to another ring
Hi - after reading everyone's horror stories about white gold I have a question. I have a yellow gold ring in mind for my engagement ring with a beautiful white gold setting complete with rubies and diamonds - it is a vintage item. Can the white gold setting be
"lifted" from the gold band and put onto a new white gold or platinum band by a reputable jeweller?
please advise
thanks,

That's a bit off-topic for a metal finishing site, but, yes, a good jeweler can certainly do what you describe.
