Colored powdercoat caps or failure of for threads

I currently have trouble with the paint caps coming off a 6 mm stud on the conveyer line. Occasionally a cap will come off and the threads will be painted. This can not happen as it is an automotive product. The people on the end of the powder coat line sometimes miss this. So what I am looking for is a bright colored paint cap that will not accept powder coat or any other suggestions as to how to poke yoke this to keep the product from slipping out to the customer.

I would try caps from a different vendor, looking for a little stouter cap or one that fits a little bit tighter. Harder to install, but less failures. A smaller cap very slightly warmed might make it a little easier to install. Too hot and it will be too floppy to install. A last ditch effort, try heat shrink plastic tubing. apply seal the end with a hot gun and shrink the tube. No reuse, but no failures.
